Twyla Waterson has had the privilege of educating students for thirty-one years. As a proud alumni of Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, she spent six years in the classroom teaching first and second graders in private schools in both Tahlequah and Broken Arrow. Mrs. Waterson then moved into the principalship at New Adventures Elementary, Broken Arrow, where she served for 5 years before moving to public education in Muskogee. Mrs. Waterson’s passion to make a difference for all students led to the move to Tulsa Public Schools in 2002. Even though the last twenty-four years have been served as a principal, her driving passion is teaching; whether it is realized through faculty, staff, Sunday school class, her own three children and even her grandchildren she feels privileged to be able to share knowledge and help shape young minds to be good citizens and have a positive impact on their world.
