Hello My Name Is...

I am the Reading Specialist for second through fifth grades.  I have been teaching at MacArthur since 1993.  Teaching reading is my passion, and  I love being able to teach children to "learn to read" and to "read to learn".

I graduated from Northeastern State University with a degree in Elementary Education and received my Master's from Oklahoma State University in Curriculum with a Specialty in Reading.  I am also a National Board Certified Teacher in Literacy and Language Arts.

I am married and we have two children, Kyle and Katie.  Kyle is married and we have been blessed with a wonderful daughter-in-law, Heather.  Katie is a Special Education teacher in the Broken Arrow School District. We have two dogs named Zoe and Harley.  Zoe is a papillon and Harley is a chihuahua mix.
