Hello My Name Is...
Mrs. Scoggin

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF THE 4-1'S
You are now entering the world of the 4-1's. As the sign on the door says, before your enter you need to "sharpen your intellect and perseverance" because this class will challenge everyone to be the best they can be.
I am Mrs. Virginia Scoggin, the fortunate teacher of this fantastic class. I grew up in Colorado and received my Bachelor's Degree in elementary education from the University of Northern Colorado. After moving to Tulsa, I attended Oklahoma State University to receive my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with certification as a reading specialist. Post graduate work at OSU led to certification in administration. However, I felt my calling was and still is to be in the classroom. So, I have happily reported to my students in grades 3-6 for the last 39 years. Fourth grade is the best. The students still have a great sense of humor and an eagerness to learn.
In the photo gallery, you will see two of the most spoiled felines in Tulsa. The striped cat is Tiggaroo. Her name is a combination of tiger and kangaroo because no one was safe from her sudden jumping attacks when she was a kitten. The other one is Emmy. When we named her, we had no idea her name would be so closely related to her attitude. Now we know it's really spelled ME as in it's all about me.
Outside of school, I enjoy traveling when I can, reading (particularly mystery books),and working in my yard. I collect snowmen and Santa figures, love eating pizza, and going shopping.
I hope you enjoy our site as we are building it to let you see inside "Our World."
